Evaluation, Evaluation, Evaluation
Over the past few months we’ve been working closely with the fantastic James Noble at New Philanthropy Capital to develop what they call a Theory of Change and Evaluation Framework.
These two documents work hand in hand to map out the outcomes that our beneficiaries will be seeing at every step of the way, and how we are going to go about measuring those outcomes.
As an arts organisation, our strength lies in the fact that we act as a stepping stone to further, more tangible progress along rehabilitation pathways. In prison settings we are often targeted at those labeled as ‘hard to reach’ – individuals who are not otherwise engaged in education or training – because for the right person, music can act as that crucial first bridge building trust, empowerment and, most importantly, a dialogue.
