Clare is surprised and delighted to find herself working for an organisation like Finding Rhythms. She studied English and French at Oxford University before joining a retail graduate training scheme and becoming Marketing Manager of Superdrug. Clare then spent a few years working as a Marketing Consultant, running multi-country qualitative research projects, before joining what was then Alliance Unichem. During a happy eleven years with the company she was closely involved in the implementation of the generic medicines strategy, and later with the development of the patient care product range.
Clare left Alliance Boots in 2014, to make the none-too-obvious career move from pharmaceuticals to performing arts. Starting out as General Manager of Lightbox Theatre, she got stuck into fundraising, charity governance, producing and arts outreach. She was also lucky enough to work with leading circus and theatre companies, Feeding the Fish and Upswing Aerial. That mid-life career change seems to be working out, and having joined Finding Rhythms in November 2016, Clare is eager to contribute to the growth of this already very successful young charity.
Clare spends her spare time running a theatre website and two children.
