Fred Harper

PRODUCER / DRUMMER

Fred Harper is a drummer, producer, writer and stage performer. After attending the BRIT school in London, Fred went on to graduate from the Leeds College of Music with first class honours. He has since toured all over the UK and Europe, performing everywhere from the Royal Albert Hall to Ronnie Scott’s and Glastonbury Festival. In 2018, Fred co-directed a show with award winning comedy hiphop artist Abandoman that sold out a 30 night run at the Edinburgh Fringe, and is currently musical director for The Deidre O’Kane show on Sky One.

Fred considers community and charity work to be the most important contribution musicians can make to society. As well as his recent work with Finding Rhythms, in 2020/21 he devised a programme with the charity Sense to deliver online music workshops to deaf-disabled children who were shielding, with the use of vibrating body packs.

“As a full time musician, Finding Rhythms is completely different to working in the commercial sector – forging personal connections through writing and recording music with some of the people who need it most of all.”
