RAP ARTIST

Shumba is a UK-based, Zimbabwean born musician, multidisciplinary artist and cultural curator. He raps in both English and Shona, using his lyrics to explore identity, resistance and the spiritual journey through the Dunya (the Western material world).


Born in Harare, he is the founder of Ancestral Futures and Plus TRBE — platforms dedicated to Afro-diasporic innovation and Pan-African vision inspired by Marcus Garvey.


Shumba is a dynamic live performer who has delivered stand out Boiler Room sets and featured on major collaborations including Steam Down’s “Can’t Hold Me Back” and Theon Cross’s “Roots.”


His solo work, including tracks like “Composure,” continue to build a loyal following drawn to his fusion of grime, hip-hop and ancestral storytelling.
