Don’t Stop the Music: Summer Workshops Open New Doors for Finding Rhythms Participants
At Finding Rhythms, we know that the end of a programme shouldn’t be the end of a participant’s creative journey.
That’s why, throughout August, we’re bringing together current and former participants for a series of inspiring workshops designed to build confidence, develop musical skills and create new opportunities for employment.
From collaborative songwriting to receiving feedback from industry professionals and experiencing the world behind live events, these sessions are all about helping participants continue to grow long after they’ve left the recording studio.
Collaborative Writing Session
Thursday 6 August | 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Bold Tendencies, Peckham
The summer programme begins with a collaborative writing session at Bold Tendencies, one of London’s most exciting contemporary arts spaces.
Participants will explore the rooftop exhibition before coming together to co-write a brand new track with fellow Finding Rhythms participants, led by facilitator and DJ Cleo alongside producer Dwayne.
As with so much of Finding Rhythms’ work, the focus is not simply on making music, but on building confidence, developing relationships and creating something meaningful together.

Share Your Music with Ronnie Scott’s
Tuesday 11 August | 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Peckham Levels
One of the highlights of the summer programme will see participants given the opportunity to present their music to a panel of professional musicians from the renowned Ronnie Scott’s Foundation.
Receiving constructive feedback from experienced industry professionals is an invaluable opportunity for emerging artists, offering practical advice, encouragement and insight into developing their craft.
For many participants, this will be the first time they’ve shared their music in a professional setting—an important milestone in building confidence and recognising the value of their own creative voice.

Live Lab: Backstage
Tuesday 18 & Wednesday 19 August | 12:00pm – 2:30pm
Peckham Levels
Application only – limited places
Participants will also have the opportunity to apply for places on Live Lab: Backstage, an immersive two-day experience exploring the technical and creative side of live events, in partnership with Lewisham Music Creative Futures and IKLECTIK.
Working alongside industry professionals, participants will gain hands-on production experience while learning what it takes to deliver live performances behind the scenes.
The experience culminates in supporting Steam Down’s live jam on 19 August, providing a unique insight into the collaboration, planning and teamwork that make live music happen.
For anyone considering a future in music, these experiences offer an invaluable glimpse into the many opportunities that exist beyond performing.

Building Futures Through Creativity
These workshops reflect Finding Rhythms’ commitment to creating lasting opportunities for the people we work alongside.
By connecting participants with professional musicians, artists and creative organisations, we’re helping to build networks, develop confidence and demonstrate that there are many different pathways into employment.
Whether someone discovers a passion for songwriting, gains confidence sharing their music or finds inspiration in live production, every opportunity helps broaden horizons and strengthen belief in what’s possible.
We’re incredibly grateful to Bold Tendencies, Ronnie Scott’s Foundation, IKLECTIK Art Lab and Lewisham Music Creative Futures for partnering with us to make these opportunities possible.
We can’t wait to see what our participants create this summer.
